Hello (Major) Dr Rachalwar

I read your book 'Pahaloo'. It is quite well written poetry collection.
I would like to share my views on your book.

Front cover image is thoughtfully designed and matches the title. I think it symbolises different facets of life.

You have given interesting background of your writing skills in ‘Mera lekhan karya’. As you say, I also found reading poems serially gives a feeling of continuity in the theme.

I agree that ‘an article followed by poem’ is not a customary in poetry. However I liked the idea since it gives a little introduction to the poem without disclosing the actual plot of the poem. Moreover it is quite helpful in understanding appropriate choice of rather classic and prolific language in your poems. Although the language is albeit on a difficult side for someone like me, who is not a regular reader of Hindi literature, it would certainly be a treat for a litterateur.

The women oriented topics are well written expressing thrilling as well as choking emotions. You have urged women to learn self defence. However in my view, change in world’s attitude towards women is the need of the time.

Your words are hard hitting when it comes to describing harsh reality of society but they become tender when you narrate love and romance. ‘Vishva ki mahabharat’ is out of the box. I have never imagined world history this way.

Reading your poetry was a literary refreshing experience. I congratulate you for this debut venture. It is surprising to come to know this ‘Pahaloo’ of a doctor and an ex-army man. My best wishes to continue revealing further ‘Pahaloo’ to distinguished readers.
